How can we in historical miniatures possibly have been beaten out by video games? link |

Sheer volume, I guess. There are far more Call of Duty nerds than Warfare in the Age of Reason nerds. I bet she hasn't even heard of us. |

My wife could deal with me saying, "Let me finish this color," when she told me dinner was ready. She had more trouble calling my son, he would be so involved he wouldn't answer and would come up three hours later and ask, "What's for dinner?" I can also break away for a few seconds to say, "Yes, dear, that outfit is rather slimming on you." This beats out comments like, "Unnh" or "Uh-huh," or "Whatever." Grelber |

A "professional dating coach" is about as relevant as a "lifestyle influencer". But if she can make money at it, one scam is as good as another. She's proof that humanity has long left hunter gatherers in the past. If she sues me for calling her a scammer, that will mean that she has heard of us! Which blows a hole in my theory. |

"She's proof that humanity has long left hunter gatherers in the past." Not true. Hunter-gatherers almost certainly had someone saying, "I know dinner's ready… just let me finish knapping this flint." |

Life Coach is a hustle that falls under the same umbrella. Do what you like. Don't pretend to be someone you are not. There are also levels to everything. Do you play video games for awhile after work to unwind, or are you glued to the couch for the next six hours? Any hobby can be problematic. |

The thing that's hilariously wrong about this advice is that it ignores demographics. Sure, if you're GenX or older it might be good advice. However, nearly 50% of video gamers are female. Millennials were the first generation to grow up with video games from birth and they had them in multiple platforms (console, PC, portable). GenZ grew up with that, plus smart phone gaming. And like 79thPA says, the dumbest thing in dating is hiding who you are. |
