How do you determine what the "baseline" is? Needless to say, our group is "divided" about the definition. Bear in mind that I personally do not run games. I participate.

If you are talking about the Maneuvering Element (ME) Baseline – it is the line at the front of the formed units in the ME – based on the front of the stands.

Isn't this the old "teleportation rule" from V1 to V3? I remember a lot of arguments from back in the day. Basically, it's an abstract way to move reserves to the front lines.

The allotment for your move or charge doesn't count for any measurement before the base line.

One problem that creeps into my formations is units in the 2nd line. At grand movement every unit ( infantry, Cavalry, artillery) have minor Grand Movement move, a few inches, artillery 5 inches. I make sure they get used
