Has anybody actually played / read the rules fer this game yet? any thoughts on it would be appreciated.

i am putting this on my X-mas list, and my wife was wondering what the hell it was….

so, please any reviews would be appreciated….

thanx~!

I have it and have played it with the wife once. I enjoyed it, but there was some confusion since it was our first time. I think when I play it again I will have a better hang of it.

I would suggest to the designer that a reference sheet be included for both the agents and the commandant though. It got pretty monotnous flipping back and forth from section to section. I have resolved myself to make my own and laminate it when I get a chance.

The rules are very easy and straight forward with very few exceptions. I think it was well worth the money.

Hope this helps a bit.

If you haven't already seen it, read this review:

granted Gav, i think that you had a hand in writing the game, but how has it been selling? it seems like there are not many players out there yet? how long has it been out? it seems like a hella cool concept, but what i am wondering is how well it plays, and is there some re-play value? My gang likes to play a game to death, and i wanna be sure that there is tons there fer them to 'chew' on….

i am kinda hopeing that some more people give a shout out. $83 USD is kinda steep fer a " we really hope we like it" kinda game.

and Gunslinger, how well did it play? what was your thoughts on it?

thanks!

I personally think its very re-playable even its basic form. We are planning to release a book of new scenarios (pdf download too) and lots of extra rules from time to time.

As far as our new expansion: BUNKERSTORM is concerned, that is even more replayable as each game I've had of it so far (with playtesting and demoing included thats approaching 50 times) its been different.

The game itself has only been out since June and we haven't really done much in the way of Marketing so far. However, I have sold a fair amount to our distributor who has been selling it to stores around the country (UK). In total we have sold into three figures now and I've sold out of our first limited run of miniatures! So, not bad so far…

I've just signed up as a reseller and will be promoting the games at shows in 2006.
The look of the game is excellent and I'll be giving it a thorough going over during December

Including postage I can get this to you in the US for around £46.00 GBP which is less than the $83 USD you quote.

I take creditcards and paypal.

I really enjoyed the game
The combat system is slick and playing cat + mouse with a german officer while bumping off his sentries was cool. The mission timer keeps the game from getting dull even when youve gt nothing to do in a turn. I agree that a ref sheet would be good but after playing it a few times we seemed to remeber all the rules anyway. Our club has already written some new missions and house rules for it. Lookin forward to Bunkastorm.

US$83 is for the Hour of Glory and Bunkerstorm pre-release deal. Postage at the moment is free for all orders worldwide. This deal will last until 10th December.

We only take paypal at the moment, so if you've just got a credit card and only want Hour of Glory, please buy from RichardHolling as above!

Cheers,
Gav

Re-activating this thread to see what the view is 4 years on. My 13 yo and I were drooling over this, but is it a one shot wonder?
