Last week was the anniversary of the battles of the Hundred Days Campaign. It seemed fitting to mark the anniversary on our wargames table. Therefore on Friday evening a group of us gathered for a fictional encounter with some inspiration from the Battle of Waterloo. The game was fought using 6mm miniatures along with the Volley & Bayonet rules.

That looks like a very satisfying game.
I see the French won, which seems to be the default in most Waterloo wargames.

What gave the French the wargaming victory, as opposed to their historical defeat, in your opinion?
Reading your account, I would say perhaps too much Allied caution versus well handled French cavalry?
