Byzantium: The Decline and Fall, by John Julius Norwich. For probably the 4th time now.

The second comment seemingly having nothing to do with the first, I'm guessing this is the dread TMP Bug in action.

"Brandywine" sounds like a good book.

"Byzantium: The Decline and Fall" was a good book. Norwich included considerable military information, using examples of the late Byzantines going out to fight their foes to demonstrate that they were not entirely moribund. It is an interesting approach plus it gives me some military information for the late Byzantine army I keep fantasizing about creating.

Thanks! I have the book but haven't read it yet. Brandywine is an interesting and fun battle to game. Did it once with Maurice using 10mm. I just looked on Amazon and copies for the Harris book are pricey these days.
