Denys Davydov has a compilation of eyewitness videos on his Youtube channel. link Rather remarkable seeing such quantity of large drones, and the Pantsir AA firing at them. Also a glimpse of one jet drone. |

What does a Moscow resident call a Ukrainian drone attack? "An incomprehensible nightmare." What does a Kyivan resident call a Russian drone attack? "Tuesday." |

By bring more death and destruction to Russia's doorstep, backyard, etc. The general population may see upfront and personal – you are at war. And maybe … just maybe … they may realize who put them in the crosshairs… If not … Ukraine has more drones. And knows how to use them much better that Putin and his minions … |

Legion, doubtful the population turns on putin for this. Didn't work in most other wars either, Iran seems to still be under control of its rulers, it could also cause a push for escalation, but thats something some people want anyway. |

Russia has noticed the strikes on Moscow, the attack on a Belarusian bus carrying children, and the mass attacks on civilian vehicles on highways far from the front lines. Many Russians are now demanding that Putin use nuclear weapons… It's time to stop fighting "like brothers"; we need to use all available combat capabilities. The West and Zelensky seem to have succeeded in turning public opinion in Russia around. |
Editor in Chief Bill | 20 Jun 2026 7:30 a.m. PST |
…and the mass attacks on civilian vehicles on highways far from the front lines. You mean those highways that are now closed to civilian traffic? Made it a lot easier for the Ukrainians to spot military targets when that's the only thing on the road. |
| kiltboy | 20 Jun 2026 11:53 a.m. PST |
Pfft, the nuke threat is played out. If Russia uses them the entire world turns against them including China. The world sees that Russia is the aggressor, always has been. Ukraine is defending itself. |
| Tango01 | 20 Jun 2026 2:08 p.m. PST |
"… It's time to stop fighting "like brothers"…" Wow!…If you call the atrocities you've been committing since day one a fight between brothers, I don't want to imagine what a fight to the death in a Russian family is like… What are you doing to Uncle Ivan?… Are you going to skin him alive in front of his five-year-old daughter?

Russia has no additional cards to play beyond the tired, hollow nuclear threats. There are no unused conventional weapons or tactics left, the economy continues to spiral, the Ukrainian attacks on energy has them importing gas and the US-Iran War is likely static enough that sanctions on Russian oil is being reintroduced coupled with slightly lower prices. The PRC's leadership certainly will not allow their Russian client state to use nukes although desperate as Putin might be, that was almost certainly false bravado as Putin's minions have been threatening nukes since the initial failed invasion. This failed war has been going on longer than all of WW1 and we know how well that one worked for Nicholas II. |
| Cuprum2 | 20 Jun 2026 4:17 p.m. PST |
Editor-in-Chief Bill, yes, of course. But this is a civilian blockade, cutting off the delivery of food, medicine, and other supplies outside the combat zone… kiltboy, what's the difference? We're already the "bad guys"))) China will do what's best for it… Tango01, compare the ratio of civilian to combatant deaths in any more or less major war since World War II with the ratio in this war. And you'll see that both sides are trying to spare the civilian population as much as possible. Or rather, they did before… Evaluate the numbers, not the emotions of propagandists. McKinstry, it's precisely to dispel such thoughts in Western and Ukrainian citizens that we need to start using nuclear weapons. For starters, we could attack one of the bridges on the Dnieper or the Beskydy Tunnel in the Carpathians. Having warned the opposing side about this three days in advance, in order to evacuate the civilian population. Yes, I'm not sure Putin has the courage to take such actions. But that only means he could be replaced by a more decisive leader. You know nothing about Russia if you don't understand the reasons for the two revolutions in 1917. |

Hilarious how one can continue to defend Russia when they started it in the first place. They invaded a sovereign country and have killed thousands of civilians. You can add the stolen children to the list, the assaults and murders. Now they are whining because Ukraine has the ability to fight back on Russian soil. Fake tears. They reaped what they sowed. |
| Cuprum2 | 21 Jun 2026 6:22 a.m. PST |
We're not whining, we're warning. But you're misinterpreting these warnings. Too bad… The West started this war. Russia will finish it))) link |
Tgerritsen | 21 Jun 2026 7:23 p.m. PST |
If Russia uses nukes, it will reap a lot more than it sows. It would be height of stupidity for any nation to use nukes just because they are failing at their conventional warfare objectives. Insanity. |
| Cuprum2 | 21 Jun 2026 7:39 p.m. PST |
Isn't it madness to capture another country's leaders? Isn't it madness to destroy the people you are negotiating with? Isn't it madness for officials to tell a nuclear power that you want to inflict a strategic defeat on it on the battlefield? The world has changed… Get used to it. There are no more old rules in this world. It's not just the West that can escalate the situation… When we warn you that we would not like to approach this line, you laugh and consider it a sign of weakness. You simply leave us no other choice. I also thought Karaganov was crazy. But Western policy convinced me otherwise. |
| Striker | 21 Jun 2026 10:56 p.m. PST |
I'm curious how everyone knows what another country will do if a nuke goes off. Didn't the PRC ask if the US would trade LA for something? |

Nowadays it is common to trust AI forecasts. But judging by the war with Iran, he has a poor understanding of human logic. |
Tgerritsen | 22 Jun 2026 3:28 a.m. PST |
Here's human logic for you. If a nation today uses nukes, a worldwide response becomes necessary because to allow the use of nukes with no response would encourage more use of nukes by other parties. That is opening a Pandora's box we cannot come back from. If Russia used nukes in Ukraine with no meaningful world response, India and Pakistan see a path to using them, Israel sees a path to using them, North Korea sees a path to using them, China sees a path to using them and the United States sees a path to using them. That is a world destroying itself by inches and it would the height of foolishness. Once nukes are used, it is easier to justify more use of nukes. |

The PRC has reduced the Russian Federation to a dependent state courtesy of this spectacularly failed war and the destabilization of the planet is not remotely in the PRC's interest. A Russian use of nuclear weapons is the same hollow bluff as has been uttered tirelessly for four years. Xi will not allow his client state to misbehave in a full lunatic mode. Sane people, and Xi is sane, know nukes are useless as instruments of foreign policy and the threats of use are the last resort of failed leadership. |
| Cuprum2 | 24 Jun 2026 7:05 a.m. PST |
You're greatly exaggerating China's influence on Russia, and it's forced—only for the duration of the conflict. The EU, however, is much more dependent on China. ))) By the way, Russia's defeat in the war is definitely not in China's interests, for many reasons. Let's just wait and see what happens next. ))) And then we'll see what you're capable of after a nuclear strike, say, with an Iskander. It could be as little as 5 kilotons. For starters, somewhere in a sparsely populated area. Let's play?))) |

I do have to agree the Russian defeat is not in China's best interest. Much like Italy's defeat was not in Hitler's best interest. |
