Greeting fellow gamers,

The summer will soon begin and we have a number of special events on the schedule. First up is the HMGS-Midwest elections. Ballots will be sent out to members on July 1st, and there are three positions open. The incumbents have all expressed an interest to return, but we are still open for nominations.

Also the event submission and badge pre-registration for Autumn Wars/War Chest will begin on the same date. Hosted once again at the International Tower (10th floor), enjoy tabletop gaming with a sweeping vista of the Chicagoland skyline. Three days of gaming and fun, we also have the War Chest on Saturday. A day-long flea market co-located in the gaming area. A chance to clear out some space for the items you were never going to use. Of course it is the chance to promptly replace those minis with new treasures.

Naval Wars/Wars in Woodstock is all set. We have a full slate of games set up for morning and afternoon sessions. Come to beautiful Woodstock, IL for a great gaming day. Bring your significant other as well, because the town square, shops and venue offer plenty of options for them.

Then a recap of the Chicago Finest Hour Conference. Three days of gaming and tournaments held at the new Chicagoland Veterans Campus. Dice were rolled, people cheered and cried (I cried) and at the end the prestigious trophies and medals were awarded. Do not miss next year's event.

Speaking about the venue, the grand opening of the Chicagoland Veteran's Campus, is slated for June 27th. (nice segway, right). HMGS-Midwest is proud to have a relationship with this great museum, and we look forward to hosting more events there. Don't miss the ceremony.

Keep up to date with the 2026 Calendar. There are plenty of save the dates. Also keep in mind some dates may change, so always check the most up to date newsletter. We are always open to publish your works on gaming, so don't be shy.

See you at the gaming table,
Kevin
