For whatever reason. I'm imposing no rules that will be ignored anyway. I know my audience! 😄🍺 Giving a reason would be nice, though. 🙄

I really liked Stranger Thinks. I could identify with the nerdy kids playing DnD. And the middle aged men who did NOT take advantage of Eleven.
Second Season was … okay. But it seemed like they had a four or five season arc planned and wanted to take it slow. I never got around to Season 3 or beyond. I dislike the random YouTube links, particularly Kate Bush. But not enough to sit down and dig into it.

The Witcher. Totally out of sync in the first season. But "I did my research" and found that was intentional. Did they really expect me to believe that an attractive actress really auditioned for "hunchbacked harelip drab"? I was correct.
Again, I just never got around to the second season.

Game of Thrones was magnificent for the first five seasons. There are those who say that it really went off the rails in Season Five. YMMV 🤷
I SHOULD have quit after 7, but I endeavored to persevere. Eight was just terrible. But, I was in a position where I just had to see what came next.

This isn't what most people chose. But at the end of The Bells, Arya is covered in dirt, bleeding, etc. Up comes a grey horse, which she mounts. I immediately thought "Behold, I saw a pale horse, and he that rode upon it was Death!" Nope. Next episode she is clean, shiny, no scratches. Continuity?

There are many I never bothered to watch, but I'll leave that for someone else to start.

The Last of Us, First season was fine: even Bill and Frank's big gay episode. I didn't play the video game and really didn't need anymore woke TV

Fallout, never played New Vegas and so season two seemed Repetitive. Lucy still can't be this naive.

House of the Dragon, I just stopped caring about all the characters.

BattleStar Galactica, redux. Apparently, I quit too soon, as the shaking camera thing toned down continuously. That was the initial big hurdle.

Just never felt the reason to return.

I suppose I enjoyed the original because I never had to compare with Star Wars.

I'll be back with more…

Most of them, I suppose. "Hill Street Blues" "X-Files" "Angel" "Bones" all the "Next Generation" series of Treks. I stayed with "Babylon 5" to the end, though, and Classic Trek. All of "Kolchak," "Beauty and the Beast" "Brisco County Junior" and classic Galactica.

Partly they faded over time--repeating themselves, or doing something distasteful or implausible to stay "fresh." And there were serious interruptions--two Korea tours, three years in Germany and about four years of shift work at the Pentagon--none of them really compatible with the sort of TV that needed me to know what happened in last week's episode. And I got emotionally invested in shows which just stopped--Firefly, Dark Angel, Farscape. Yeah, eventually two of those three had a conclusion, but by that time, I'd pulled the plug. To take part in the streaming era, I'd have to buy new equipment and change the wiring of the house. So far, it hasn't seemed worth it.

Check back next year. There's a chance of major change.

Matlock. I thought the premise was a bit thin with Cathy Bates able to easily get into the power of the law firm without any vetting. Then the darkness of the continuing story of the law firm being complicit in allowing pharma to get away with knowingly pushing dangerous drugs and thereby allowing deaths to occur made it too dark a program for me to want to watch. Better movie plot than TV drama series.

I am indifferent about watching Season 3 of House of the Dragon. It'll be starting up again in 2 weeks. When more than 2 years elapse between seasons, you "have to" watch Season 2 to remind yourself who is who. Season 1 was great. Paddy Considine as King Viserys was fantastic. Totally deserving of an Emmy.
I hate to keep parroting the Drinker, but he nailed Season 2. A bunch of unlikeable people reading maps and doing terrible things. And now they want me to resume watching after more than 2 years? 🙄🤷

I had a great time watching Ray Donovan, Dexter and Breaking Bad. One simple reason. I could stream 3 or 4 episodes per night and segue directly into the next season. These series were also finished by the time I started to watch them. 😄 I didn't have to wait another 2 or 3 years for a new season. I blame CGI.

The Walking Dead, I lost interest after a few, I can't remember how many, seasons. I felt it had become repetitive.

New Dr Who, the first Dr Who I saw was John Pertwee (1970), I lost interest during the 15th Drs tenure.

Ah, the Walking Dead. 🙄 I had forgotten about that one.
I watched the first season, just because.
Then in the second season, the mindless zombies were actually acting more intelligent than the survivors.
"Mom? Can I go walk in the woods?"
"Ummm, okay. But be careful!"

I'm quite sure there have been some. Can't recollect exactly which ones now though, I let that go. No need to carry those disappointments with me to the grave.

Walking Dead for me, first maybe 3 seasons was every episode but as the carnage of the living to the living got over the top I was out.

Survivor got old fast too
