Eggmuhl I am a hopeless French player! 10th Legere (3 Battalions) first attack on village with Conscript Austrian battalion defending. French win Elan test and then must throw 95 or less to win combat and I throw 100!!!! Austrian then throw 86 on No 1 victory table so 10th in bad morale and rout. One of the best regiments in French Army. Question must they really wait until the whole Brigade rests and rallies (its an Elite Brigade so is a ME). Seems a silly rule and when you read histories units seem to rally far quicker than Empire allows. I do not fight multi-Corps battles don't have the models or space. Comments please. |

Should I have attacked with one battalion at a time. Doesn't seem in spirit of rules to use wave attack? |

If Archduke can rally a routing regiment as he did in 1809 in middle of an impulse way can't St Hilare, Davout etc Seem to be no rule to allow this |

Generally this waiting to rally is a sticking point with me as well. Mostly I don't wait because once gone they are next to useless. In many ways Carnage and Glory does a better job in a unit can rally on their own, but not sure agree generals run after a failing unit one after another until it works. |
