For those that may care, Seems John Blanche has passed, either last night or today.

Trish Carden said it was a few days ago and apparently the family just announced it.

Whatever you think about GW, it's undeniable that John Blanche had a tremendous impact on our hobby's popularity. Salute!!

Fantastic imagination, his art had a special quality that was distinct. And I think he did a lot make GW popular.

I do care.
No man is an island.
Sympathy to his family.

Loved his work. His paintings added so much to the early GW.

While not a GW fanboy, I, too, care.

His work always felt iconic, his own world we were welcome to visit.

I never cared for the style, but that doesn't matter a whit. His legacy is profound, his art stirred the imagination. He made the viewer FEEL something. He is missed already. RIP
