Found a bunch of open topped cars, need pulp era drivers. HELP!

Sergeant Paper28 May 2026 12:06 a.m. PST

I found my stash of box-scale pulp cars, there are 31 vehicles, and most are open, so they need a driver.

Plus, there are enough to do a road race with some of them…

They look like true 25mm or even big 20mm would work.

Nice! Those will do for a start.

Dixon Miniatures has some gangster drivers and passengers shooting guns in its gangster range:

Although they come in sets, the company might sell you individual drivers. IIRC, the Dixon gangsters are 25mm, or even small 25s, although labeled 28mm.

Warbases also has some civilian and military driver figures:

Albeit I think the Warbases figures are likely to be 28mm.

Old Glory Miniatures also has some gangster and police passenger figures in its 25mm Blue Moon Gangland figure range:

Gangster and pulp gaming in 25mm was popular for a while about thirty years or so back, and so there may be more companies than I have listed who had gangster or civilian auto drivers that might suit your purpose, but the ones I've listed are the ones I remember. Patrick Wilson (the Virtual Armchair General) has rules and an extensive line of paper stock buildings designed for Chicago Roaring 20s gangster-type games, and so might be aware of some civilian driver figures I've missed-if you want buildings, have a look at his on his website.

And a google search (for example, 25mm driver miniatures) might turn up some 3d printed driver figures available through Etsy or elsewhere.

Wow, so many choices, thanks!

I bought a couple of the blue Moon gangsters, and over half of TVAG's buildings, though I got rid of the build ones a few years ago when I moved and have to build them again.

I'm trying to decide if I can make a portable set for little Wars next April. I only need a 3' by 3' area for Pulp alley, I could do one block and maybe facades across the street(s). I might build walls and assemble onsite.

I got the cars because I needed to populate Patrick's Mean Streets…

I got the Blue Moon sets, one of gangsters and cops, one of gangland civilians…

And now I'm buying figures from 'The Chicago Way,' though I will probably use them with Pulp Alley.
