Game tickets are available, earlier than I thought but got 3 games I wanted.
Can't wait

I got all 9 events I tried to sign up for.

Of course, some are experiments, so no guarantee I'll have a good time at every game. Looking forward to trying, though.

It would have been 10 games, but my Fri morning game left an awkward gap between the end and the beginning of the evening game. I'm hoping to get killed off early enough to go fill a no-show seat in an afternoon game.

I got into all the games I wanted. I was also able to plan my lunch :)

I jumped online pretty early and was surprised how many of my potential choices were already full. I was still able to get a full slate of games I'm excited about, plus Wally's sessions. I do plan to check back, as there always seem to be something that gets added later or that I overlooked.

Only got 3 of 5 what I had picked Like, still haven't filled out empty hours

6 of the 9 games my club is running sold out within hours, including my 2. Hopefully everyone shows up.

Nearly every event I wanted sold out the evening of the opening of registration. Not enough left to bother with, so not sure I'll make the trek there this year. No point in driving out there for one game a day.

I was able to book a couple of games a day. The leaves me time to get food and say hello to friends!

I anticipated sitting down at my PC for the opening and then promptly forgot only to wake up at 4 AM thinking oh no everything I want will be sold out. Turns out almost all of my club's games including my 2 were sold out, but I got one before it was gone and then filled out my schedule including Wally's the next day.

So, the question is are there enough games being run? Other than all the SPI board games, the miniatures games are going fast. Are they going to add more later? Do they make a plea for more game masters or something? And if so, do they announce the additional ones in advance or is it just random additions?

TSD10129 May 2026 12:47 p.m. PST

Looks to be over 700 games being run over the course of the con. Some of those are SPI games but this is a con that gets around 2500 people. Could be a boost in attendance this year, who knows. Seems on par with last year.

FYI, 949 events last time I checked (today).

Historicon continues to set records under the TTE system for number of events submitted.

Hopefully, that includes something for everyone.

For those with "gaps" in their gaming schedule, please consider stopping by Hobby U, the HMGS War College and/or the Board Game Library.

That should round out your schedule.

Hope to see you there.

I remember when you could only preregister for one game a day.

Besides hosting 4 games, got into 3 C&G games, an experimental WW2 skirmish game, and a BF&S game. Couldn't get into 2 modern games I was going to try, and then 2 Hobby U opportunities (that was a surprise), so I picked up two talks and will go do some shopping afterwards, so full convention for me.

Things were really filling up fast on opening night, amazing to see so much was taken by the time I signed on for picking some games.

Very sadly got email Battle of Markkleburg got changed to conflicting time that Der Alt Friz Trenton game is going, and long planned not to miss that one. Not seeing much else now to replace the Markkleburg game.

Found another game, Battle of Germantown to replace it.
Now trying to return ticket

And Jim's game is in Princeton, its the other side of the river so close enough

Mini Wanderer05 Jun 2026 1:18 p.m. PST

I played in Der Alt Friz game last year. It was a BLAST – not to be missed!!!

As long as we're on the Historicon 26 topic – is anyone planning to being or play BLKOUT at the con?
