I know that A&A Game is no longer operating. I was looking for Fire When Ready. Is this being published under a different name from Long Face Games? Perhaps another suggestion for a pre-dreadnought rules system that is current available and supported? |

Long Face Games has a rule set "Broadsides and Salvo" available on Wargame Vault. It is described as a fast play naval rules for the pre-dreadnought era. It is also included in some of his campaign publications like "White bear, Red Sun" for the RJW. I have not played the rules yet. They were also in the campaign game "An Object Lesson to the Kaiser" which I bought for the hypothetical 1902 confrontation between the US and Germany |

I've used "Broadsides and Salvos" in several pre-dreadnought naval games pitting the Japanese against the Russians. The rules are fairly easy to learn and bring an enjoyable game. Here are two battle reports: link link Jim |

When A&A closed, David Manley said on Facebook that he would be republishing his own rules through his own micropublishing house Long Face Games. AFAICT he hasn't gotten around to it, because it's not under LFG in wargamevault. |
