So I have the Witchfinder General rules that came out a while back, and are now out of print, and while I like them, I need something else. So I am hoping y'all can help me. I'm looking for a set of mini rules that are basically skirmish/small units, set in Colonial America, and the wilds surrounding it, from 1700- up until the Revolution. I'm looking at some of the Muskets and Tomahawks stuff, but it doesn't fit the horror element. I've also looked at Colonial Gothic which is a beautiful RPG but it's an RPG. So I am seeking ideas and suggestions from like minded and fellow TMP'ers. Thanks in advance! |

The Silver Bayonet with the North America supplement perhaps. Technically a Napoleonic era set. Dracula's American is set after the ACW. I imagine that they both can be modified to take you back in time. |

There was a new one recently called Devil Afoot. It is set in an early colonial period, but I am sure you can move the time period. There is also one called Devil in the Wilderness. |

I didn't think Devil in the Wilderness was still available. This is a set of rules where you can tell that the author is fairly well read in the subject matter. TMP link |

The Silver Bayonet covers any blackpowder setting quite nicely. I've also happily used Donnybrook for my Sleepy Hollow games, with horror elements pencilled in. If the 2nd edition ever gets done (allegedly been in the works for many years, but they keep publishing more and more editions of Beneath the Lily Banners instead…), it will include 'Donnybrook Dark' fantasy/horror options built in. |
