More pictures of the Late Roman Equites Scholae Palatinae including both "speed painting" horse approaches of i/ high contrast and ii/ the "sponge method"(sounds wrong, I know!)

They look very dynamic, as befits a unit of cavalry!

I'll have to look up sponge painting horses.

I'll have to look up sponge painting horses.

When I looked into it I couldn't find anything on sponge painting horses, just space marines- it's basically the same method.

I'm planning a tutorial on my blog as soon as i can get it together.

Who makes the shield decals?

The transfers are all by Little Big Man studios- the best in the business.

I love these, too neat and beautiful for real soldiers, of course, but they will look spectacular in battle!
