A wargame of the ACW battle of Kennesaw Mountain risks being just another dull and futile Union frontal assault against well-entrenched Confederates. Drawing the frame wider allows a 9-turn game on a 6'x4' table to encompass a month of operations (including the preliminary actions at New Hope Church, Pickett's Mill, etc) and a 10x15-mile battlefield, and to incorporate weather and logistics elements. This produced a game that was full of manoeuvre, tension and excitement, as well as reflecting the historical course of operations really well. Very happy with this one.
