A wargame of the ACW battle of Kennesaw Mountain risks being just another dull and futile Union frontal assault against well-entrenched Confederates. Drawing the frame wider allows a 9-turn game on a 6'x4' table to encompass a month of operations (including the preliminary actions at New Hope Church, Pickett's Mill, etc) and a 10x15-mile battlefield, and to incorporate weather and logistics elements. This produced a game that was full of manoeuvre, tension and excitement, as well as reflecting the historical course of operations really well. Very happy with this one. First outing for my newly rebased ACW troops too! Full photo-AAR on the BBBBlog:
