For those of you who scratch build buildings what size do you make them? Is 4x6" good?

I would say, yes. This is the size (or close) when I make a building for 28mm.

I'd say reasonable mid-range. You'd want bigger if you're game's 1:1 and you're clearing houses room by room. If two or three figures are a platoon and your houses are built-up areas, you might want a few smaller ones. Anything under about 3"x4" isn't going to look right, though.
