I have the minis and the buildings to do them, and have done a few games for kids with my own rules. But what commercial rules (or free on the internet!) would foils recommend?

I'm guessing some track every shot, and so would be for smaller games? And some deal with groups and so work for larger?

Or not?

I just played "Desperado" as Little Wars and had a very good time:
It is in TMP index
TMP link

The blurb on it says:
"Desperado is a fast-paced, easy-to-learn, kick-in-the-pants game!!

THE RULES INCLUDE: A Simple Character Generation System, An Innovative Random Card Initiative System, A Unique (Easy to Learn) Combat Chart System, A FULL range of weapons from Bow & Arrows to Buffalo Rifles; and to keep everyone jumping the rules allow you to brawl, wrestle and jump off buildings! For those really annoying characters you can even throw dynamite at them! (Don't be too close!)

PLAYERS: as few as two or as many as twenty players (heck, if you have the time even more).

TIME: 2 hours from start to finish (for an average game). Desperado can be over VERY fast if the dice are hot!"

Looks like it cost $17 USD USD.

We tracked every round, and many, many wound locations. Quite bloody, and cinematic.

I have not played yet, but Fist Full of Lead, Dead Man's Hand are a few other titles

Look into Space Weirdoes. They are a great set of Skirmish gunfire rules. Take the Sci-Fi bits out and your gold. I ran a 6 person 4-5 figures per person shootout at a local game day. Ran it twice and everybody loved them…..

$4.99 USD on Wargame Vault. As a bonus, they have a FREE FANTASTIC Solo module….

Dave, thanks for the tip. And I have credit at WG so it's free!

I like Desperado, but 10 different gamers will name 12 different rule sets.
