Back (way back!) in the previous century, I subscribed to Panzerfaust magazine. I was strictly a boardgamer at the time.
Strategy and Tactics had just started including game in each issue. And so did Panzerfaust.
These Panzerfaust games have the map and counters mounted by the gamer in cardboard. I used spray rubber adhesive.

One issue had "The Spirit of 76" game. Naturally it took place from 1780 onwards in the South. 🙄
So I mounted it, and sliced things apart.
Later I put it on eBay, and was stunned to get $85 USD for it. That was back in the day when eBay was a genuine auction, and not just another storefront. Three, and then 2 guys had a bidding war until Mr $85 USD won.
(Ah, remember the days when dumb eBay "strategies" were the thing?)

Now, I would love to have it again, to run AWI miniature campaigns.
Can anyone remember the number of the issue? I'd like to track it down and maybe buy it, if it's not too expensive.

Noble Knight has 2 copies according to their website – though says it was from 1778 through 1782 with 4 sheet map – not sure about the Magazine Issue number

If you're determined, you might be able to cobble together what you need working with the game images on Board Game Geek.

I have seen a friends copy but never owned it. Good luck! Seems like a great campaign vehicle.

I saw it at Noble Knight. Thanks for that.
But the "cheap" one is $58. USD A bit steep for "something it would be nice to have".

You can buy a PDF from Wargame Vault for $5.00 USD:

I believe this would have been after he sold Lowry's to Peter Rice who then named it The Toy soldier in Searsport Maine (later Bath). I have bought a number of PdF through the WarGame vault myself :)
