In an effort to try to manage the humungous amount of lead I've built up over the years, I've been experimenting with different mixes of washes, Lahmian Medium Speedpaint Medium, Contrast Medium and Army Painter Tones first on Middle Imperial Romans and now on Wargames Foundry Franks. I think I'm getting closer to a solution what do you guys think (please)? Up close they look a little patchy but picture perfect is not the declared goal. I think they are perfect for the 3 ft rule. They are bright and vibrant and you will be able to tell what they are at a glance, perfect for gaming and slaying the pile of shame, keep it going. Basing will lift the paint job again. |

I think you can now see why the smoothness in colour transition is so important to me? I think they are perfect for the 3 ft rule. They are bright and vibrant and you will be able to tell what they are at a glance, perfect for gaming and slaying the pile of shame, keep it going. Some smaller images that aren't 90mm tall…. lol
Basing will lift the paint job again. Thanks. |

Yes. It seems to me the case, certainly for ME and also generally, that 99% of the time the lAST time a mini is examined closely is when it is being painted and based. We PLAY with them, as opposed to displaying them. So good enough is good enough. |
