Hill 112 Spur- Normandy, July 1944 .By early July, the fighting west of Caen had become a brutal struggle for a series of ridges and spurs dominating the Odon valley. Among the most fiercely contested was the ground around Hill 112, where every hedgerow, orchard and sunken lane became a battlefield.
Continuing with our current focus on WW2, using the Rapid Fire Reloaded rules, I set up & solo gamed a scenario I had adapted from Operation Husky.
The plan is to game it with my pals in a fortnight, using defending Fallschirmjager against the British & then switch it back to Sicily & make it British paras versus Italians. This was a trial, of sorts, to test whether the scenario would work.

We're using the entire table tennis table, set out with objectives on eastern spur, western spur & the station master's house.

I personally don't have enough British so I added extra air attacks which skewed the game somewhat

I also don't possess any Fallschirmjager, so used my SS. They arrived on a set turn, by which time the British were moving rapidly towards two objectives.
The result was a not entirely satisfying stalemate with the undermanned British unable to advance effectively and the Germans being hammered by the overly powerful Allied air force. I think with the proper forces, the result might be more pleasing. But I think it looks good?
So—what would you tweak here: forces, timing, objectives or table setup to get a more decisive and satisfying game?
