Departing the maintenance hangers this week are a number of 1/3000th scale Blackburn Buccaneers. These diminutive models will provide the 1980s Royal Navy a valuable reinforcement to challenge the ever growing Cold War Soviets at sea. A little background can be found here: link

To a degree. The entered service in 1968 with the last ones retired in 1994. Some even were used in the 1991 Gulf War. There were however just over 200 built – so a very small production run. |
