HAVOC 2026, Part 1: Concord Bridge North, with Light Bobs rules. *** The Bridge model has a story. Back in ? early middle school, Mark's class had an assignment to do "Shadow box" type dioramas. Not content with that, he did a 2x 4 foot model of Concord Bridge North, the site of a major skirmish during the British raid on Lexington and Concord. He had some help from his Dad, and the model hung out for decades. Last year, Mark Rehabbed it and built up new terrain for the scenario, which sees a British force trying to hold back a Patriot advance upon their position. A party of British Grenadiers is seen in the far ground, trying to march to the rescue! Also in the far ground is Chris Parker. *** link ***

For 28mm, I have suitable laser cut bridges from both: Thingsfromthebasement. link And Sarissa Precision, which is a lot smaller. link They're a lot less work. 😄 |

Sorry again about the double postings duh and TY to Bill for removing one. The basement have great bridges and houses and well stuff. What made this one special was it was a school project with Mark's dad and they made it 50 years ago. We had to extend some of the muesket ranges becasue his gridge was 14' long. 40's do have great eye appeal too. |

See Thingsfromthebasement for all your Lexington Concord needs. They also have Hartwell Tsvern and New England Saltbox houses. Sarissa has great houses along the way. |

I played this game at Fall-In 2025, but unfortunately Mark left the bridge at home in his kitchen. Had a great time during that game. Pleased to finally see the famous bridge. |

John I am not sure why you are mentioning the buildings and bridges here. The game host is quite happy with what he has. Many of the buildings I Believe came from The basement. We both know the owner and his wife. |

@ekessler507 … yep, that was a big goof, and by the time I recalled it, I was half way on a very long drive to Fall-In! in 2025. Sometimes life is rough … lol. Fortunately I had some extra road pieces with me and we could simulate the bridging location … lol. – - – - – - – - – - – - I was 11 years old when the model of the bridge was constructed. The diorama included plastic 54mm figures that were painted up, too. My father and I spent a lot of time on researching the project, going to the site of Concord North Bridge, and seeing the other diorama still on display at the Concord Museum a little ways east of the main town square. We also displayed our diorama at the local library in 1975 for the 200th Anniversary of the skirmish, and I gave small talks regarding it at the time. There's a lot of detail to what occurred at Concord and the bridge. Much of it is not typically taught in the schools, and besides the skirmish being the first spot where colonials were ordered to fire on the British (after the ragged volley that happened at the colonials first), attempting to reach the supplies at Barrett farm is the real reason the expedition occurred. This game is being brought to Huzzah! in 2026 this May on Saturday at 2pm. It has also been submitted for Historicon 2026 this July, and I'm running it twice on Friday at 8am, and 1pm. I will provide a limited chat at the beginning regarding some of the actual details of the historical situation. Scenery is being upgraded further. Light Bobs will again be the rules, although improvements have continued to be made as the new edition continues to be work upon. |

JohnI am not sure why you are mentioning the buildings and bridges here. The game host is quite happy with what he has. Many of the buildings I Believe came from The basement. Easy. Your thread and photos are for 40mm. I thought the subject was interesting for others who game in a different scale. So I suggested what I have used for 28mm. I just wanted to tell folks what is available. |

John Makes sense to after all and this game could be done in 28mm tio as most games use 1" bases or the 3 multi bases as in Rebels and Patriots. I know Mark uses that basing. |
