I humbly petition Bill to start a new board. It should be called "After Waterloo" and concern itself with a fictional campaign based on the imaginary premise that the French won at Waterloo and what followed. There are many TMPers keen on this topic. Well, to be truthful, several…actually just two of us. scroll to the bottom: TMP link What's my chances? |

I would vote against it. 🤷 |

I would vote for it – and so would all Flintloque players! |

And remember – you don't need a majority you just need 30 people (or has that rule changed?) |

Far less than 30 if the Editor just wants to do it. |

I am in favor. All those British troops should experience the beauty of central Germany (after Welly takes ship on the channel and decides to sail to Hamburg and not home). |

I don't think this hypothetical topic of relatively limited popularity (?) merits a new board. These sort of "what if…?" spinoffs could clog the entire forum. |

I'm already bored with this board! |

No, don't see the need for this one. How about a larger alternative history board, or do we have one already. If you do Waterloo what if. What about if the Germans won WW1 or WW2. What if Roman Empire didn't fall. It would just get too picky and specific and I don't see that many people joining it. |

It is always easy to ignore anything that does not interest you, so why not? But an Alternative History board has great appeal. It seems to me that an :afrter Waterloo" board would fit pretty well under Napoleonics, while the whole concept of alternate history raises some interesting questions that transcend the specific historical periods being altered. AND, I think we need a "Connecticut Yankee" time travel board. Certainly there are lots of novels based on soldiers from one era dropping into another. |

Ochoin, maybe start a blog on the subject? Invite your readers to submit ideas? |

So Dumas never writes The Count of Monte Cristo I assume. |
