I will be visiting Albuquerque for a week in mid May. I am interested in any sites related to military history, used book shops, and hobby stores in Albuquerque, Taos and Santa Fe. |

As I always ask, if you could only go to one location, what one would it be? |

Wackmole9, thank you. Is it worth a visit? I am more interested in the battle of Valverde. Old Contemptible, thank you. Great list! |

I've been to Glorieta. Not much there, just one shot up marker. It is another case where the maps and descriptions do not do justice to the actual lay of the land. |

Yep not a lot there. There have been reenactments. But the battlefield is still largely in private hands. I am hoping the American Battlefield Trust has a plan in mind to purchase the land and turn it over to the NPS. But they probably have other priorities. The good news is that as far as I know there is no sign of it being developed into housing editions. |
