New blog post:

I've replaced my decades old piece of hardboard with a new A2 cutting mat, because no matter what I did I couldn't stop the hardboard sliding on the glass top of my desk.

Is that natural light, too? Perfect set up.

Same, many years ago, but I eventually relented and used duct tape to hold it still.

I also decided to save the cutting mat surface from paint and glue, and I tape down a folded piece of newsprint over the right half, where I do all my painting/gluing. The newsprint gets replaced whenever I feel like I need a clean start.

Yes, natural light.

Why is everything so clean? Does not compute.

Greef!

I'm just hoping a droids around when the compactor starts up.

My desk once looked like that…. when I first moved here. Lasted 15 minutes.

Couldn't find a gif of the act.

Probably for the best, as it may distress many here.

AAARRRNNOOOLLDD!!!!

Well, my desk is clean again.

Got a new commission on the way, and the last 2 were done in post apocalyptic conditions.

Lots of masking tape stuck zip lock bags on to existing paper covering, immediate front area, side area for tissues to wipe brushes which gets moist.

Some card added to painting tray, thanks GW/Hachette and another bag under water pot.

Planning on clearing a comp desk with unused comp, perhaps use top of that also.

Imagine if Nerdy took over Arnold's desk.

He'd sound more like Newman, "Brahhahhaaahhaa!!!"
