Last night I started packing up the containers of "stuff" to load on Tuesday into Josette (my 2018 Chrysler Pacifica). Wow. It came back to me VERY quickly that "While 28mm games are awesome in sight, visual appeal, and detail; the storage and transportation of such items can be an unholy pain in the keester. I bought a carry cart to help me get the boxes from the vehicle to my room. Bunji cords are a blessing. * A passenger. * My luggage. * Passengers luggage. * Flea Market stuff. * Cart. * Extra table. * Folding Chair. * Terrain boards. * Field Repair Kit. * Terrain and Scenics, (buildings trees, roads, a fort, etc) * Ground cloths. * Figures, (3-4 containers of figures. * GM's box, (Dice, tape measures, counters, etc.). * Booty Bags, (Loot bags of "treasure" for my players). * A parrot. * My usual "liquor hall", (next year we are planning a "liquor exchange" for the group of guys I am with. * The necessary paperwork. (I keep paper hard copies of everything for the convention). * The usual props, (including my pirate outfit, and such). My "plans", are to sell as much at the flea market as I can, thereby freeing up room in my van, (which I will probably fill with MORE stuff I buy from the vendors)…. Sigh…attending a convention as an attendee is easy…as a GM…well….. You 15mm and Micro Armor folks have it easy…. |

I am closer, and my wife is using the SUV for Horse Fair this weekend, so I won't pack until Monday or Tuesday, but I look forward to seeing you there! |

Just starting my packing. 6 32Qt containers of figures Paperwork – rosters and rules summaries for 2 different rule systems. Still need to figure out terrain. So much to sort out this weekend. Fortunately, I'm local so I only need half on Friday and half on Saturday. |

Good luck, it seems that even when I use a spreadsheet, checklist, and or prepositioning. I always seem to forget something. As much as I try to emulate Robert Rogers "Don't forget nuthin" |

Murphy, I read your blog and posts and I think, "Oh, boy! I want to go to Little Wars!" Then, I look out the window at the snow falling here in Colorado, and the weather reports about tornadoes and generally foul weather from Texas to Wisconsin tonight, with two more waves of it coming through sometime, and I think, "Maybe I should stay home for now." Best of luck! Grelber |

Ah, the sweet, sweet simplicity and convenience of naval gaming… Terrain – blue felt…done |

You guys have a great time in Chicago. I always did at LW in the past. I am loading for my trip to Kissimmee Fl next week |

the myth of 15mm being easier. We just bring triple the figures so it ends up being the same. |

And this is why I love my naval games… As HMS Exeter mentioned. I did get a foldable hand cart at Lowe's, though, to help walk stuff through, especially for the flea market. Much easier. Eric |

Mine should all fit in one 36" duffel. |

15's are still easier for the same board, mildbill. Twice the height is eight times the volume and weight. (Mind you, I traded mine in for 6's--and 2's.) |

Unfortunately, I had to cancel my room because of major flooding at my workplace. If anyone needs a room in the block, one just opened up. I wish I could still make it. Little Wars is a wonderful show! |
