Does anyone know roughly when the Colpack/Busby was first adopted by some French Légère units? Additionally, does anyone know how widespread its use was?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

I think the first bearskins/colpacks were used by legere carabiniers in 1806 or so and by 1809 the voltigeurs were using them – Oudinot's legere for example – and they were I believe fairly commonly used – in 1812 the Bardin regs officially changed them to shakos
