I recently purchased some well-used FPW Prussian Cuirassiers. The helmets and cuirasses are painted with a true chrome paint. I have never seen this in acrylic paints. I have Vallejo Metal Color Aluminum, Metal Acrylic Color Steel, and Army Painter Shining Silver, but none of them are true chrome. Does anyone know of a true chrome acrylic paint? Or do you think this was an oil-based paint like Testors?

AK Interactive makes a product called Super Chrome.

"Super Chrome is a special alcohol-based paint, ready for airbrushing, that includes a resin component which enhances its optical and mechanical properties. This formula optimizes adhesion and gloss level, and helps stabilize the pigments. The ultra-fine particles remain perfectly aligned with the surface, delivering an extremely strong mirror effect as well as high covering power."

I have used this product to re-chrome parts for model cars. It is by far the brightest and realistic chrome I have used.
