Another fantastic Battle Day put on by the Society of Ancients. The day showcased the Battle of Cunaxa in which Cyrus, aided by 10,000 Greeks challenged his brother Artaxerxes for the Persian throne. There were many tables all playing the same battle using different rules and several scales.

Our 20mm Alala! game saw Artaxerxes victorious when he captured Cyrus. However the Cyrus player was awarded a prize for the most valiant Persian player of the day. So he both lost and won.

One battle that has my interest, (despite Xenophon's account there are still a lot of details we do not have). Thanks for posting this!
