I'm an Old Fart.
But I remember Back in the Day when we used to get excited about that.
I even took the day off from school when John Glenn did his thing.
I took in an excuse the next day to Miss West. She said, "Oh, put that away. I know where you were."

I also remember it with the tremendous excitement to see the first man step on the moon. My room was completely covered in posters about it, and it seemed like when I grew up I could fly to the space colonies like we do now in an airplane. Beautiful years of innocence…
