Looking for suggestions for games that play on 2' x 2' tables. Hope to find some historical ones but any type of wargame is helpful. Thanks. |

DBA and its variations. Any period will work for skirmish gaming. Are you looking for rule suggestions? Some people drop down to smaller scales when gaming on small tables. |

I'd look at Howard Whitehouse's Astounding Tales or the "Chaos" series, such as "Chaos in Cairo." Both are "Pulp" and would work with or without SF or fantasy elements from late Victorian to the present. And I'd buy a lot of terrain. Breaking lines of fire would be a major problem. Further back, any sort of "Three Musketeers" set, then medieval tournaments, then Gladiatorial combat. There are also, I believe, some "bar room brawl" sets. |

The Silver Bayonet. The mechanics work fine if just want a straight up historical skirmish game without the Gothic Horror. And quite fun with! Test of Honour. The control-the-objective-markers scenarios are designed for 3'x3'; but a general skirmish match will work fine on 2'x2'. |

.45 Adventure for Pulp style games. I think Gloire for swashbuckling would work. 1:48 Tactic for World War II |

I second Port Royal. Also high praise for Exploit Zero by Patrick Todoroff (he also wrote Osprey's "Zona Alpha" rules). |

Scale? Shieldbash and the skirmish games from Zombiesmith work fine on 2z2'. They're not historical, but if you just ignore fantasy elements the game will work perfectly. |

Any particular time period? |

If you enjoy the Great War, "Scouts Out!" plays very well on that size table. Small squads and dense terrain makes for nailbiters. Gloire works well on a 2x2 with 28mm. The "Song of Blades" series playes well on 2x2 in 15mm, 28mm would feel a bit crowded, but it could be done. "One Hour Skirmish" and "One Hour Skirmish Ancients" will work on small tables, they are playing card card driven. |

Maybe use a 2'x4' folding table if pressed for space? |

I'm going to offer Wiley Games, especially the Fistful of Lead series. wiley-games.myshopify.com Originally a Wild West game, we have thoroughly enjoyed both that and the Napoleonic version. A good scenario (and they have plenty) makes for a fantastic experience. |
