Is the m4 sherman model sold here by Heroics and Ros link meant to be the first M4 Sherman with a welded hull with a gasoline Continental R975 radial engine that was delivered to the British in North Africa? |

Hi Jeeves This one looks like a later M4 used in Italy and NW Europe. The easy way to tell is the applique armor which was not used in North Africa and the M34A1 wide mantlet. The ones in North Africa had the narrow M4 mantlet. Right now, I am not sure who does make the early M4.. GHQ now makes an M4 but it is the later model with the features that I have described. GHQ does make an M4A2 with sideskirts but the turret cupola is not the right one. |

Looks like Legions for hire makes the model I'm looking for. Cheers.https://www.legionsivhire.ca/index.php?id_product=546&controller=product&search_query=Sherman&results=13 |
