I like these rules for the German Revolution of 1919 to 1923 but have yet to play them. The rules use a clever mechanic for random placement of units in an urban setting which is core to the game. The problem is that I want to run these rules as a convention game and there's a chance that half a side's units will not be placed in the first turn but will have to roll dice to enter. In extreme cases the units may not enter at all. I wonder if allowing all the units to enter on the first turn will break the game.

I bought them a while ago. Liked them but then lost interest in the project.

No, I have not played them. Can you plan your scenario around everyone starting on the board? Have everyone roll a d6 and on a 4-6 their troops come in on the second turn?

79thPA, thanks, good idea worth considering.

You know, one IS allowed to change the rules that you think won't work, for newbies.
It's not like a tournament or anything.

Just a thought. 🙄
