I thought it was overwhelmingly rejected early this month.

I didn't ask for it. Now please tell me how to remove it from my areas of interest.

I guess the New Board Policy is to whine about getting the exact same board that was overwhelmingly rejected a few weeks ago.
"But, Bill! I REALLY want it! And since I'm smarter than those who don't want it, ignore those ignorant poopy faces! WAAAAAGGGGHHHH! I want it!"

I thought it was 30 votes to secure a new board, but clearly I'm wrong.

Yeah. As I recall, it got 17 votes, and 56% negative.
Why not just announce that Polls don't matter anymore?

It's Bill's place and seemly he is enjoying fooling with it.

And he just demonstrated the pointlessness of all TMP Polls.
We have 5 ways to vote "NO", and all the choices get splintered into a meaningless jumble. The "winner" often ends up with 7%.
The polls are a joke.
For years, a new Board needed 30 "Yes, I would support the XYZ Board" to get accepted. That's down from 50, which was apparently too high a bar. 🙄🤷
Now, a poll is run to see who would support an AI Board. It gets 17 votes, far beliefs the threshold, and the negative runs at 58%. And that doesn't include the extra ~8% odd negative thoughts.

Then a cranky guy who is always the smartest person whines that HE really wants it. And, voila. We got an AI Board. Ain't "democracy" wonderful? 🙄
Anyone who actually bothered to vote in that poll just wasted their time.

So, you're admitting that you refuse to accept the results of a democratic poll? I deliberately used no names. But you step forward and admit that democracy doesn't matter.
At least you're honest. You are more important than the 58% who voted NO because you are smarter than them. And you are admitting that the poll never came close to the threshold of 30 votes, but that's not important, because your opinion is more important than anyone else's.
I lose polls all the time, and move on.

I removed it from the list of boards that display, but it is still here. What am I missing?

To turn off display of the board on your homepage, lie I just did: under Forums on the front page sidebar, click on [Forums], then click on [General Boards], from there you can toggle individual boards to display or not to display.

This particular topic, the Editor cross-posted to TMP Talk, so if you have that board set to display you will still see it on your front page. Any other cross-postings will likely be in your display range too.

As long as topics aren't cross-posted, then the Editor and the 17 people who wanted to see this stuff can enjoy themselves in the privacy of the new board.

Hmm, other topics that are only in the AI Board are still showing on my front page after I reloaded. We might be doomed.

Ah, after toggling [Do Not Display], have to scroll all the way down to the the bottom of the General Boards and toggle [Update].

Now my front page has been cleansed.
