Noting America is embarking on "trade wars" fought out through mutual tarrifs, and it look as though the E.U., and maybe the U.K., will become embroiled shortly. Are you anticipating changing or advancing your wargaming purchases as a result?

A friend of mine runs BluePanther Games printing board games. Business was down quite a bit for the last few months but seems to be picking up.

He said some publishing companies in Europe and Japan that want him to publish their games in the US to avoid tariffs and shipping.

Personally, I rarely purchase new games.

I have pretty much discontinued ordering direct from overseas manufacturers. I still get foreign made figures, but I get them from US companies that have already dealt with the tariffs and seem to have stocked up enough that they haven't had to raise prices. Things keep moving along nicely.

I have noticed that the tariffs were erratic, on and off, up and down. One day I hope that will stop, and I can go back to buying the rest of the Perry Sudanese I want.

Just a few weeks ago, I paid for shipping on around 300 SYW Austrian Hungarians and Hussars, made in Ohio. So, I'll have no need to buy from any foreign country with whom we are currently having a perfectly justified trade war.
So, I'm good.

I checked sources on Prussian Bosnian Lancers, to give the Bad Guys a fair fight, but none are those darn foreigners, with whom we are in a just trade war.
My Hessians will be proxy Prussians. I promise not to do that in public, so as not to frighten the horses.

Due to my distributor dropping many overseas companies, my stock levels have changed.

Another thing I have noticed is the extended delivery times. Whether it is production delays or shipping.

To be honest, shipping charges is what kills the deal for me.
Tariffs just makes it even less I will purchase.

Tariffs raise the cost of miniatures by around 10%, but the shipping cost can double the cost of the same product.
