I believe this result discriminates against Long John Silver in pirate skirmish games.

I think it discriminates against Plastic Army Men! They are the singularly most popular war game figures in the world, bar none. They are very offended. Santa Claus had to learn his lesson the hard way.

Is that lone Green guy actually holding a gun? I see no stock, trigger, clip, barrel, sights— just a rod of about rifle length. Maybe we're all *assuming* it's a gun, when he's just delivering the commandant's churro order.

The guy on one leg is just running with his gun at the ready, never thought that was a firing pose.

Obviously, he's manning a trench.
Duh.

I had hundreds of those Timmee army men when I was a kid, they came in tan and green, they were a great addition to my Marx Battleground set.
I know now that they weren't historically accurate, but when you are 7 and playing in the dirt in the corner of the backyard, you don't care!

I think "figure standing on one leg while firing" should be clarified to "figure standing on one leg while firing a long firearem-- musket or rifle"

As Ochoin says, consider one leg pirates firing a PISTOL. I see no problem there.

I do dislike "figure holding NOTHING above his head with both arms"

I never liked "laying down guys" as I phrased it when I was a kid

I didn't like "sitters," figures designed to sit in the back of a truck (lorry), which never came with them. My friend assumed they carried a pistol in their pocket, making them slightly more useful than the unarmed guys I saw them as.
