As a business operation, I have been monitoring the effect of tariff on the availability of products and costs.
The dominant issue has been the distributor dropping European companies.
Well Saturday I received a tariff bill for paints that I ordered in November. I was unaware that Scale 75 was a Spanish company.
So on Saturday I received a tariff bill from DHS ,Homeland Security, for $37.50 USD.
In the end it will make me have to increase prices and no longer carry that company.
I will mark them down and blow them out at my next show.

Ouch. That's worth sending a note to your Congresspeeps — personal stories from constituents are the most likely to influence positions and policy decisions. The more data they have on how things are directly affecting folks in their districts does make a difference.

This weekend, I discovered that Ral Partha Europe is one of the companies in the UK that hasn't gone through the hassle of setting up a system to be able to collect tariffs at check-out. I've ordered from them pretty regularly in the past, but alackaday not now. The extra expenses and uncertainties of just shipping stuff out into the wild are too great. I'm sure the drop in US sales is hurting them too.
