The "Bloody Big Battles!" annual convention, Bash Day 2026 will be on Saturday 27 June at the Crookes Social Club in Sheffield.

This is the day before the wonderful Joy of Six show, also in Sheffield, so it's a great chance for you to make a great weekend of it.

I'm writing now to ask:
are any of you interested and available to run a game?
Although I have invited our veteran regular GMs first, we have space for a couple more games if anyone wants to offer one.
(I.e., some of the regulars wouldn't mind the chance to just play for a change!)
This is therefore an open invitation in case any of you other talented people want to step forward.
Obviously, at this point I can't guarantee every game volunteered will be accepted, as it depends how many volunteers we get and what games people want to run.

Here are the details of the event.

Location:
Crookes Social Club, Mulehouse Road, S10 1TD, Crookes, Sheffield.

Timing:
Saturday 27 June
GM access from ~08:30
Player access from 10:30
Kick-off 11:00.
Endex ~17:00.

Travel:
Lots of local parking available.
Also on a main bus route.

Food:
Tom will lay on a picnic, accommodating dietary needs.
CSC has a full bar that opens around midday.
Lots of cafes and eateries 5 minutes away on Crookes High St.
We can plan post-battle drink/meal for those interested.

Games:
There is space for a maximum of 6 games.
We hope for a mix of classic favourite wars/battles as well as one or two less well known ones.
Most games likely to be played only once over a leisurely 6 hours (including lunchbreak);
possibly one or two shorter games that can be replayed.
At 6 players per game, that's a maximum of 36 players (plus GMs).

Cost:
We will charge £10.00 GBP to cover the venue and the picnic rations.

Sponsors:
Our good friends at Pendraken have generously offered to sponsor Bash Day by donating some figures or discount vouchers, which we will pass on to deserving participants.

If you'd like to offer a game, please let me know, including details of what particular game you'd like to propose. Once we have offers, we'll select to put together as exciting a menu as possible.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Chris

Smash Karts Game offers nonstop action as players speed around the map, grab power-ups, and launch attacks at their rivals.

Thanks for the suggestion, Sophiasm, but I should have made it more explicit: this is a BBB convention where every game is a historical battle using the BBB rules. See reports from the six previous ones here:
