Here is my collection of British Morris trucks for North Africa. These were painted several years ago. I need to paint some more in order to carry all the infantry I have so far.

Nice work, CP. Don't forget to do a REME recovery vehicle, mate. It may come in handy. |

They look good. I presume they are 6mm (1:285)? Jim |

Thank you all very much! I appreciate it. Jim, these are 1/285th GHQ models as are just about all my vehicles. I wanted to try to breath some life into the 6mm WWII thread here on TMP so I have decided to start posting even if some of it may have been posted here a long time ago in some form or other. |

Beautiful work, Pete. Some details I observe and appreciate: - The tires and wheel rims look really good. I know how painstaking it can be to get that right, and right you are! - The washing and dry brushing on the canvas has really given a weathered and sun-faded look. - I can see some differences between the trucks, and even on individual trucks between the cover over the cab and the cover over the cargo bed. This tracks my own observations of kit in the real world -- no two canvases weather at exactly the same rate. Bravo for that! I am always impressed when the "less glamorous" vehicles in a collection (or on the table) look good too. Yeah sure, if someone has a bit of skill they make some nice looking PzIIIs or Crusader tanks. But having good looking trucks along side -- when I'm at the game table it is details like that which elevate the experience, engage my imagination, and make it memorable. For me, at least … Thanks for sharing. |
