Greeting fellow gamers,
"Flash Traffic" I do not know if they still use that term anymore, but this is important. Little Wars Event Submission will end on March 15th. Pre Registration for Badges will end March 31st. This will be the last date for a discounted badge. Event Registration will start on April 1st (no fooling). "End Flash Traffic"
Here is a brief update: We had a great showing at our "Civil War Weekend." With over 100 attendees, the majority of those were new to gaming. It was held at the fantastic Civil War Museum. in Kenosha Wisconsin. And before we left we settled on a date for 2027. We also held our bi-annual "Grognard's Historical Game Night", in Roselle, IL. Thanks to all who ran games and attended. If you missed it, well you will get another chance on September 30th.
Coming up this month are Garycon, and Adepticon. If you have not been there before, you should check them out. Some of your favorite HMGS GMs will be running their games at these cons, so it is another good reason. In the near future is Air Con in May, and the Memoir 44 Conference in June.
Back to Little Wars. The Sheraton is already out of Queen Rooms, they do have some Kings left. So we have negotiated and additional room block with Hyatt in Lisle, roughly a mile away. Get those before they sell out.
Our vendor list has been increased so this is a heads up to start saving your money. Be sure sure to allow some time to visit with George Nafziger as our 2026 Guest of Honor. Make sure to stop by and say hi, even better get some of his great books too.

If you have read this far down, you are one of our dedicated gamers. So I want to address you all. As I have stated before that this is YOUR organization. In my travels I get a large amount of feedback and thanks. I appreciate that very much, but HMGS-Midwest is only as good as we (our group) can make it. Help is always accepted, both before the con and during. So after you select your games and schedule your shopping sprees, see if there is a volunteer slot you could help us with. (Hey we have some really cool Staff T-Shirts.)
Keep up to date with the 2026 Calendar. There are plenty of save the dates. Also keep in mind some dates may change, so always check the most up to date newsletter. We are always open to publish your works on gaming, so don't be shy.
