"My napolenic French armies have a huge collection of vehicles, thanks to HAT and manufacors like Fine-Scale factory in the old days. The only British vehicles I had are the RHA limbers from Airfix and two other ones from Minifigs or Hinchcliffe. We still discuss, which kind of wagons did the British use in this period. If anybody has a tip, please leave a comment…"

A very interesting subject and little understood. How was small arms supply ensured to infantry on the front line? Much talk of barrels, rolled by intrepid heroes and mules doing what mules did. The real puzzle is what did "Brewster", or whatever his name was, drive into Hgmt. It was described as a "tumbril" and that means two wheeled and likely pulled by two horses, as for a highly dangerous curricle in civvie use. In Franklin's book read Mercer's description of a cart designed to carry the baggage of officers. Pitched roof, rear doors etc but no mention of ammo carriage. |

I had to stop buying HaT wagons, ambulances and other supply carts – there were just too many. They are really glorious though. |
