We need Kamala Harris now more than ever!

Secretary of Gibberish?
Frankly, the spokespersons we have in place now are more than qualified to confuse matters.
"We are arming the Kurds. No, the President just wanted to know if the NFL should ban the Tush Push."
"We are mad at Spain. Actually, we're getting assistance from Spain. We're still mad at Spain."

If the purpose of the spokespersons is to sow confusion among the enemy, they're succeeding with the American people. 👍

As posted in another thread. Kurds have come over the border.

Can the Whey be far behind?😱

Sorry

But seriously, I assume Israel and (the U.S.?) will furnish air support. Now start arming the Iranian opposition? Would love to see A10's in action against Iranian Guard vehicles. Shades of Iraq. But alas I don't think airfields close enough. 😞

"The Senate shot down a resolution from Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., aimed at limiting Trump's military actions in Iran on Wednesday, following days of speculation about whether Republicans would cross the aisle — as they have done before — to reprimand the president.

The administration pushed hard to lobby support for Operation Epic Fury, holding several briefings with Congress to make its case. It appeared to work, at least for now, convincing some Republicans on the fence to back continued military action in Iran.

Only Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., voted in favor of the resolution, while Sen. Jon Fetterman, D-Pa., was the lone Democrat to cross the aisle in support."

Congress has thus spoken and the Constitution has been satisfied— again.

doc mcb04 Mar 2026 6:21 p.m. PST

Texas Congressman Crenshaw, a 4th term incumbent and former SEAL, a moderate to conservative but not MAGA, was defeated in his primary yesterday after Trump declined to endorse him. It is Trump's party and likely to remain so until 2029.Of course the margins are very tight in both houses of Congress, but I think it will take some major and public setback to reverse current support for Trump's war effort.

Oh, and on missiles, the Air Force is now able to use BUFFs over Iran with impunity, carrying 51 750 lb bombs each. We have many many many tons of those.

doc mcb04 Mar 2026 6:32 p.m. PST

Personal story: I spent the summer of 1967 making 750 lb bombs. The US had so many left in 1945 than no one imagined we'd ever need more. Then we dropped more on NVN than on Germany and Japan combined. So we had to make more ASAP. RG LeTourneau in Longview Texas had made them in WWII, and got the bid, even though there were only maybe two guys still working who had been there in 1945. Railroad flatcars brought in pipe of the correct diameter, and we cut it into the correct length, then stuck each end into a furnace until red hot and then crammed it into a mold to make the nose and then repeat on the tail. My dad was supervisor over one third of the bomb line, with the furnaces, and I worked at minimum wage, 6 am to 6 pm six and sometimes seven days a week. I was really glad when school started back. It did pay my room and board for the year, though.

Israel strikes Iranian security forces, aims to weaken regime – WSJ

Israel carried out airstrikes on Iranian internal security agencies and paramilitary forces, including the IRGC and Basij, targeting those responsible for suppressing protests that killed thousands in January, according to the Wall Street Journal.

"Israeli officials have made it clear they are looking to do enough damage to Iran's police state from the air that the people can take over on the ground," the report said. "While Israel has long been content to weaken Tehran with military action or covert operations, Israeli officials have concluded they now must push for regime change."

"American stealth bombers are expected to land at U.K. military bases within days to join the U.S.-Israel campaign against Iran, according to reports.

Citing unnamed senior Western officials, The Telegraph reported Wednesday that air bases at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean and RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire are being readied for the arrival of B-2 Spirit stealth bombers — the $2 USD billion strategic bomber is also known as the world's most expensive aircraft.

The bombers are understood to be landing at the U.K. bases "in a matter of days" as Washington intensifies operations in the region, the outlet reported."

"Azerbaijan summons Iran ambassador after drone attack on Nakhchivan
3 hours ago

Listen to this article

Azerbaijan has summoned Iran's ambassador after drone attacks were carried out from the territory of Iran on the Azerbaijani exclave of Nakhchivan, the Foreign Ministry said.

The ministry said two people were injured due to the attacks. It condemned the strikes and said Azerbaijan reserves the right to retaliate.

Earlier on Thursday, a source close to the Azerbaijani government told Reuters that missiles and drones flying from the direction of Iran fell on the territory of Nakhchivan International Airport. A fire started as a result of the incident, the source said, adding that an official statement would follow.

Video footage shared by the source showed black smoke rising near the airport terminal, which is about 10 km (6 miles) from the border with Iran."

A missile strike destroyed the 12,000-seat indoor arena at Tehran's Azadi sports complex on Thursday morning following attacks by the US and Israel, the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported.

ISNA said all sections of the indoor hall and surrounding buildings at the complex were destroyed.

Previously there were reports that authorities were using some stadiums and sports venues in various cities to gather and station military and security forces, as well as equipment and vehicles, to shield them from US and Israeli strikes."

"IRGC presses for Mojtaba Khamenei leadership as dissent grows
4 hours ago

Listen to this article

Iran's Assembly of Experts is set to hold an emergency session on Thursday to formally announce Mojtaba Khamenei, a son of the late Supreme Leader, as the next leader, despite opposition from some members who warn against "hereditary leadership," Iran International has learned.

The meeting comes two days after Iran International reported that the Assembly of Experts had chosen Mojtaba Khamenei as the next Supreme Leader under pressure from the Revolutionary Guards.

Two sources from the offices of Assembly of Experts representatives told Iran International that at least eight members will not attend the emergency session on Thursday in protest at what they described as "heavy pressure" from the Revolutionary Guards to impose Mojtaba Khamenei.

The first emergency meeting of the clerical body to choose a successor to Ali Khamenei was held on Tuesday, but ended prematurely after Israeli airstrikes targeted the Assembly building in the city of Qom.

According to sources, Thursday's meeting will be held online and managed from a building near the shrine of Fatima Masumeh in Qom. Some representatives and members of the Assembly's leadership board who live in Qom may attend in person."

Come on. I give you more credit than the buying the Madcow and blabbering "The View's", Epstein distraction talking points. 😉

One more time for all you kool aid drinking Epstein drinkers.

The Biden administration had all the Epstein files for FOUR YEARS. For FOUR YEARS they threw every bit of garbage accusations and lawsuits at Donald Trump they could pull out of the dark hole behind their backs.

FOUR YEARS!!!

Now you all, as well as MS-whatever and other sources are trying to convince us that Trump took part in sex with underage girls! That the administration is covering it up and taking every action possible to distract from it. That even if possibly true, none of the many liberal internal leakers in every department in Washington, would not have leaked papers to their pet MSM.

Come ON!!!

John at least, you are better than this. 😉

FOUR YEARS and even those involved!!!

"Virginia Giuffre (Prominent Epstein Accuser): In a 2011 deposition unsealed in later years, Giuffre explicitly stated that Trump "didn't partake in any sex with any of us". A 2026 White House statement noted that Giuffre had "repeatedly said President Trump was not involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever".

William Barr (Former U.S. Attorney General): Testified behind closed doors in 2025 that he never saw any information in the Epstein files that would implicate Trump in any crimes. He described Trump's reaction to Epstein's death as one of shock and noted Trump claimed to have "pushed him out of Mar-a-Lago" years prior.

Ghislaine Maxwell (Convicted Epstein Associate): Claimed in 2025 that Trump was not a "close friend" of Epstein and stated she never witnessed him behaving inappropriately.

Alan Garten (Trump Organization Attorney): Stated on behalf of the organization that Trump had "no relationship with Mr. Epstein and had no knowledge whatsoever of his conduct".

Juan Alessi (Former Epstein House Manager): Testified in a 2009 deposition that Trump "never" stayed over at Epstein's Palm Beach home and never received a massage while there."

Enough of Russian collusion, pee pee tapes and Epstein.

Back on topic.
Iran is certainly trying its best to alienate every single neighbor.
Azerbaijan? Why?
I fully expect Iran to lash out at Afghanistan AND Pakistan. Heck, why not China and Russia too? Infidels, the lot of them! And that goes for any Sunni in the bar, too!
Internally, Iran's Committee of Experts (their name, not mine!) is going for hereditary Supreme Leader with Khameini's son. Many do not like that. See Oliver Cromwell for a similar precedent.

I must admit, it cracks me up to see young Iranians doing the "Trump dance" to YMCA.

1) You know I'm not ranting. Actually laughing at the continued Epstein posts. 😉

2) it was not necessary for him to go before Congress for this action. But we have covered that already here and elsewhere. He did exactly what other Presidents have been doing since the law allowed them to.

3) Key Congressional representatives were also notified before it happened, including "the gang of eight"

4) The Senate yesterday verified what I said, including John Fetterman.

5) "Rules"? I really don't want to get into "rules" perceived to be ignored by politicians of all parties.

6) don't expect people to like him, no matter the successes. I know the hate is too deep and hammered in daily by the Democrats pet MSM and politicians. If that is all I watched and read, I too would have the same views.

People are free to disagree with this, but please guys stop the talking points from the MSM and Democrats. No, this is not personal at you, it is a general statement from what I have seen posted and what I see on MSM.

To quote myself: "I got tired of the lies on Fox, so now I get my lies from CNN."
It's quite amusing to see the folks who chastise the MSM in one sentence, go on and regurgitate the bilge from Fox et al with no sense of irony.

Lest I forget, let's stop getting our talking points from the "Republicans" too. I've yet to see any proof that they're closer to truthiness that the Democrats. I may agree with them more than the Ds, but that doesn't mean that they don't have jackals and hyenas too. Open your eyes.

John

Check in just this thread, I rarely use FOX (even though it has been above average in accuracy from their web news). I never knowingly use Newsmax, don't watch it either. It may well be good too.

Why don't I? Because those on the other side will not accept it. They have a blind hatred of those news services that disagree with their preconceived views. It has been hammered into them by the MSM, Democrats, many of their teachers and union representatives, their work friends … etc etc.

That is a fact. I have them in my own family. They see or hear Fox and they react as a vampire to a cross. They then start to rant. Yet they will have The View, CNN or MSNOW on almost every time I go over.

By wiping FOX and Newsmax off yours and others viewership, you are wiping the only 2 alternative news views on TV. You end up with only the views of the same group of like thinkers. There are NO other right of center news services on TV. Of course that is why the MSM hates them so much.

Until Fox, they CONTROLLED the narrative. All of what you saw and heard.

Guys if you are happy with that fine. But there is nothing wrong with using them as sources. They are as accurate as the rest, probably more so in many cases.

Just be honest and say: I don't like their views.

If you really want to attack a group of liars and half truthers, go after MSNOW.

Lastly on FOX, Hannity, Waters, THe Five, Ingram are news views, not "News". They tell you that up front. They pick subjects and give "their" or "others" views. So don't come back naming them as news.

Now John, that is a rant. 😉

Back too a few other points.

"Forever War"? 🙄

We are on DAY 6. May seem like forever to some I guess. 🤣

"Eminent threat"? Well 🤔 The administration stated some. You can choose to believe, or not.

I don't think we need an eminent threat. They have attacked us over and over since 78. If shark bites you, do you keep letting it until it kills you, or kill it after that first bite (if you still can. 😉).

Well we still could… but chose to allow it to keep biting us…… for decades and now like Doctor Evil, they were going to add lasers. 😈

Just a short list of justifications for our attack on Iran. Not comprehensive. Israel has their own.

Remember as well, the President tried negotiating twice now… that we know of, before resorting to force.

At the negotiation meetings:

In that first meeting, both the Iranian negotiators said to us directly, with no shame, that they controlled 460 kilograms of 60%," Witkoff said in the Fox interview, referring to the uranium's level of enrichment. "And they're aware that that could make 11 nuclear bombs, and that was the beginning of their negotiating stance."
"They were proud of it," Witkoff added. "They were proud that they had evaded all sorts of oversight protocols to get to a place where they could deliver 11 nuclear bombs.""

"Iran has maintained significant stocks of 60% enriched uranium, with estimates suggesting they could produce enough 90% weapons-grade material for multiple nuclear bombs within a matter of days or weeks if they chose to do so. Reports indicate that Iran's "breakout time" has decreased significantly, allowing for rapid enrichment.

Iran Watch

Stockpile Capabilities: As of mid-2023, Iran possessed over 114 kg of 60% enriched uranium, with some reports indicating potential enrichment levels reaching up to 83.7% or 84%.

Weaponization Time: Analysts have stated that Iran could use its 60% stocks to produce enough 90% enriched uranium (weapons-grade) for one nuclear weapon in as few as 12 days.

Advanced Centrifuges: Iran has continued to use advanced, fast-enriching centrifuges, shortening the time needed to reach weapons-grade levels.

Negotiation Context: Despite ongoing negotiations, Iran has continued to increase its uranium enrichment levels and stockpile, leading to international concerns about its "breakout" capability.

Previous Limitations: Before 2015, Iran's stockpile was much larger, but the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) aimed to reduce this to limit breakout capability."

"Nicosia / London – March 6, 2026 (The Sun/ UK MoD / Clash Report) – A Shahed-type one-way attack drone, widely associated with Iranian design and often used by proxies like Hezbollah, struck the British RAF Akrotiri base in Cyprus shortly after midnight on March 2 (local time), breaching defences and causing limited but visible damage."

"The Epstein Files"?!?/

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Oh, how delicious.

The Dems had access to the Epstein Files for over a decade. Does anyone actually believe the Autopen President's political handlers didn't scour through that bilge looking for something to use against Trump? Or any Republican?
Seriously, they believed they had a "pee tape!" They tried to impeach for a phone call! They had someone testify based on third hand information that was immediately proven to be false! And they couldn't find ANYTHING in ten years to hit ANYBODY with in the Epstein mess? If they had it, they'd have used it. If they even thought they'd had it halfway, or by the thinnest thread, they'd have used it. THERE'S NOTHING IN THERE, at least not for Trump. Clinton, on the other hand… (Did you see the video of him looking over the file photos in the hearing, like it was the latest porn dump? The man was practically drooling.)

Y'all's arguments are pathetic. Really, really, really pathetic.

Oh, Condaleeza Rice has now spoken out in full support of Trump's action, calling for the complete destruction of the current Iranian regime. (Assuming it still is at the moment I type this.) So throw that in your TDS pot.

Oh, and Old Contemptible— the Senate just voted to approve the President's authority to conduct the strike. Majority in favor of the President. Issue decided, all nice and Constitutional in every respect. In short, they just voted that yes, he DID have the authority to order the attack, and yes, they are going to support it. It doesn't matter what the side who lost the vote thinks or wanted. THEY LOST THE VOTE. That's how Congress works. If either house says "no" to such a resolution, IT DOESN'T PASS, no matter what the other house votes (or whether they vote at all). That's how the bicameral legislative system works.
Remember, that it was a vote to deauthorize the strikes. A "no" vote in such an instance is a vote that says the strikes are therefore indeed authorized.

Legislatively, it was either a very stupid resolution or a very political one. It was stupid as being a negative resolution that, should it fail, would legally establish that the opposite opinion was true and that the actions were lawful all along. Had it been a vote to authorize the strikes, then a "no" would have meant the opposite (and been easier to achieve). Instead, the negative resolution set forth its own inevitable failure. Now, that could have been intentional political cover. The Dems could all safely vote against the President, thus satisfying their left-wing base, while not actually stopping the military action and allowing it to go forward unfettered (thanks to a very helpful vote from Fetterman laugh). Rand Paul got to vote his own principles, while the Republicans could support the President AND continue the war, too, thus satisfying their own base.
But either way, the issue is legally settled— in effect, Congress has now indeed "declared war," without having to have a full vote on the matter. (By the way, Congress declares war and funds war, but it does not conduct war or end war. The war ends when the Executive branch says it ends. Congress can only debate and vote on any treaty created by the Executive branch regarding the same.)

Do y'all not really understand how all of this works?

"A bipartisan resolution led by Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Ro Khanna, D-Calif., failed to pass after four Democrats joined most Republicans in sinking it, 212 to 219.

The legislation was aimed at blocking Trump from using the Armed Forces in the joint U.S.-Israeli operation in Iran, which would likely force the strikes to grind to a halt.

The Democrats who voted against reining in Trump's war powers include Reps. Jared Golden, D-Maine, Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, and Greg Landsman, R-Ohio."

"Manchester, UK (March 4, 2026): A candlelight vigil held in memory of Khamenei was met with a large, jubilant counter-protest.

Vigil Details: Approximately 100 people gathered on Sidney Street to honor the deceased cleric.

Interruption: Between 300 and 400 counter-protesters interrupted the event with cheering, dancing, and singing to loud music like "YMCA". Some individuals were seen burning photographs of Khamenei."

There was a photo on Drudge yesterday of a little boy climbing on that downed rocket.
I can't find it now.

EDIT: Here it is:

That's an Iranian Zelzal-2 or Fateh-313 SRBM. Probably not UXB, looks like the missile body broke in half from being intercepted or breaking up in flight and the motor caase section slammed into the ground.

From Iran International (last 2 hours)

"Iran president orders decisive crackdown on any Kurdish incursion

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian ordered security forces to deal decisively with what he described as separatist activity, shortly after US President Donald Trump said he would welcome a Kurdish offensive into Iran.

"The governor and the armed forces responsible for security are obliged to deal decisively with any separatist activity," Pezeshkian wrote on X, adding: "I thank the proud and honorable people of Kurdistan who have stood by Iran during these historic days."

Iran's top lawmaker threatens to send Kurdish rebels to 'dustbin of history'

"America wants to gamble with all its assets to defend the criminal Israeli regime! Anyone with common sense would not enter this killing ground," Iran's parliament speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf said in a post on X.

"Worthless separatists—if they raise their heads and make the slightest misstep—will once again be sent to the dustbin of history," he said in an apparent reference to Iran's Kurds who are reportedly preparing for a ground operation against the Islamic Republic."

If they are "true", fine.

Things like "covering for Epstein"… 😏

🙄
You're the one who keeps saying "It's only been 3 4 5 6 days! Well, there's a gazillion "Epstein files" that are "still under review" for …. Reasons.
You have, accurately, called me out for "There are those who say you never loved the Emperor." 🙄 Yup. Even though I voted against his foes TWICE.

I'm looking forward with fiendish glee awaiting…. Hey. Stop bringing it up, if you don't like it. Tactical mistake.
If you respond, you're admitting that….. 😄🙄

I'm sure hope will continue to spring eternal with each release.

But the ones you all are waiting for, are currently being fabricated in the hidden cellars of the opposition, for release when and if they regain power. 😏😉

AI improves daily. 🙂

I think if you can use talking points from the right then people can also use talking points from the left. Just because they are from the left does not make them lies or untrue. Same goes for the right.
I thought that is what was happening ? However, as we see many times they may be untrue, lies, out of context, etc. Why ? Bias and distain of course …

Southern Azerbaijan is where the Azerbaijani Kurdish population live. Maybe that's why?
Exactly … We have to remember how the Kurdish lands were overrun, occupied, divided up etc. after the end of WWI. By long dead European politicians, etc., etc. And Kurds moved or were moved away from their original homelands, etc.

And as always in that region. Somewhere somehow religion, tribal affiliations, ethnicity, very, very old grudges, etc., etc. is always in play.

You're ranting about the first line.
The rest is palpably true.
TDS also extends to "He can do no wrong! How dare you imply otherwise!"
I can "give the devil his due", without bowing down and worshiping him.
Rules don't apply to him.
What he said the week before is irrelevant. He never has been the most honest man in the room.
I don't think anyone is say "he can do no wrong", St Donald, etc. well accept when you say it. So who's ranting now ?

The Epstein files, etc., have been pretty much rode hard and put away wet. The Dems will do anything to soil the POTUS. Much of it is outright lies, convoluted facts, etc. That list is long. And has been said many, many times that the previous POTUS's DOJ, FBI, etc. had the files and really found, even if they cared to look, nothing to soil Trump.

It seems clear to me that the Dems are using this as a diversion, smoke screen, sow confusion, etc.

To cover the facts that they opened the border illegally. Which resulted in thousands of US citizens' deaths for a variety of reasons at the hands of illegal aliens. With their plan of flooding the US with illegal aliens who would change the voting demographics. And somehow get to vote in national elections. Fact: illegal aliens can't be counted in the census for seats in Congress. And again they can't vote in national elections.

Plus the POTUS is finally doing what should have been somewhere in the past 47 years. By others in the WH, Congress, etc. Getting payback/revenge on all the US lives that have been lost because Iran radical islamists gov't.

And the bottom line has to be stopping the Iran's islamists from getting deployable nukes. Plus removing that lunatic regime from the board.

That will make that region safer as well as the rest of the world.

"Iran missiles hit Kurdish opposition groups' Iraq camps housing civilians
5 hours ago

Iran has launched missile strikes on camps of the Kurdish opposition group Komala in Surdash in Iraq's Kurdistan region on Thursday, sources told Iran International. The camps house families and civilians, the sources said."

Early war narratives are usually very confident. The only question is which ones survive contact with the next few months.

Decapitation strikes make dramatic headlines, but the Iranian system was built after the Iran-Iraq war specifically to survive leader loss. Parallel command structures, the IRGC, and the clerical succession process were all designed to keep the state functioning even if the top figure disappears.

So the real test won't be whether the strike was impressive — it clearly was — but whether the institutions underneath it remain cohesive. That's where regimes either absorb the shock or come apart.

Systems built around ideology tend to be surprisingly durable; sometimes more durable than the people cheering their collapse expect.
