We have been at war with Fundamentalist Islam, almost since the end of the revolution.

America's first foreign war

The world has been at war with fundamentalist Islam since the 600's.

Any issues, can be taken up with Google.

"Overview

Jefferson's War: How the U.S. Navy Earned Its First Overseas Win
Yes, the U.S. won the Barbary Wars, ending the piracy and extortion by the North African states through decisive naval actions and treaties that asserted American sovereignty, although the First War (1801-1805) ended with a ransom payment, and the Second (1815) concluded with a more humiliating treaty for the pirates, establishing the U.S. as a power willing to defend its interests abroad.

Key Outcomes:

First Barbary War (1801-1805): The U.S. Navy blockaded Tripoli, and a joint U.S. Marine/local forces assault captured the city of Derna, forcing the Pasha to sign a treaty. While the U.S. paid $60,000 USD for prisoner release, it ended annual tribute payments to Tripoli.

Second Barbary War (1815): After the War of 1812, Commodore Stephen Decatur decisively defeated the Algerians, forcing them into a treaty that abolished all future tribute and demanded restitution.

Long-Term Impact: The wars demonstrated the U.S. Navy's growing strength, established America's refusal to pay tribute, and signaled its emergence as a world power capable of projecting force overseas.
In essence, the U.S. achieved its military and strategic goals, fundamentally changing the dynamic with the Barbary States and gaining respect on the international stage, even if the initial peace terms weren't perfectly clean."

Not counting Iran, which can be counted as long overdue, justified retaliation by the U.S. and Israel.

"Major Conflicts and Areas of Activity:

Middle East (Syria/Iraq/Yemen/Lebanon): ISIS maintains a presence in Syria and Iraq. Iranian-aligned militias continue to operate in Iraq and Syria, while Hamas and Hezbollah remain active in the Palestinian territories and Lebanon, respectively.

Africa (Sahel and Nigeria): Insurgencies are ongoing in the Sahel/Maghreb regions, with groups affiliated with Al-Qaeda and ISIS conducting violent operations, particularly in Mali and Nigeria (Boko Haram/ISWAP).

South Asia (Afghanistan/Kashmir): The Taliban maintains control in Afghanistan, amidst conflict with ISIS-K, while various extremist groups operate in Kashmir.

Global Reach: Groups continue to inspire or direct attacks globally, with incidents reported in Europe and Russia.

I am also not discounting the individual initiated, Islamic terrorism, as with the 4 recent incidents in the U.S.

"President Donald Trump said on Friday US Central Command carried out a major bombing raid on Iran's Kharg Island, adding American forces destroyed all military targets on the island while deliberately avoiding oil infrastructure."

Troops on way, and this today.

Take over of Kharg Island?
