Hello Does anyone know of a source for paint markers with a very fine tip that can be used for 15mm figure straps. I think 0.5 would be nice. Rotring, AK paintmarkers posci … Also can be varnished without adverse effects. I believe this would be useful for many horse and musket type uniforms. Thanks martin |

I've spent a lot of time looking for small white pens like that, but no luck. Still, I have hope and will check in to see how this thread goes. Grelber |

Indeed, some colours of fine pens are incredibly hard to find, I feel your pain!!! |

I am with you, my brother – those white straps are a nightmare |

I picked up some white Gelly Roll pens from Amazon to do road markings on some modern German bases of buildings. They came in a packet of 3, 0.3mm, 0.4mm, and 0.5mm. I was able to varnish the road markings using Coat D' Arms matt varnish. However I do not know if they would be any good on figures. |

I use Posca paint pens for loads of things, excellent coverage and a decent range of colours. All of mine have fine tips, apart from the gold and silver ones. |

I purchased these gel pens back in November to test out. I use them mainly to hand write numbers or letters on Battletech mechs. I have the .6mm. They seem to work okay, but I use them on unsealed paint, it has a better attachment surface. a.co/d/02VRANLR R, Jim |

There are felt tip pens you can load up with the ink of your choice, .8mm I think. |

I'm looking for a yellow one to paint trouser knots on my Grenzers. Thank the gods they're 28mm, and not 15mm. I got an "ultra fine paint marker" at Walmart, and I'll report on the results. |

I have tried several sharpie-type marker brands, and all of them "run" and smear when I sprayed the figures with a matte sealant. All that tartan work reduced to colorful blobs…sigh… Posca PC-1MR paint pens are available in 22 colours. Including yellow. Thanks for the tip, I'll try that! |

I just ordered (came next day) a three pack of white gel Gethpen, works great if it withstands post-painting polyurethan dip. I'll get the three pack that is white, silver, gold. My Comanches will soon be sporting lots of white war paint. Horses too. This company does not seem to have red and yellow and black, but I shall try some of those in retractable pens -- if they work. |

Gelpens, marker pens, coloured fibretip writing pens are all useless for this purpose You want acrylic paint pens. Which is what the Posca range are (other acrylic paint pens are available). |
