I see 35% play or have played Saga. I'd be surprised if anything other than DBA and GW products could beat that. |

To me SAGA has the most interesting concepts of any wargame. The use of fatigue is very unique. Point values are simple but effective. I understand why some hate it because it is so different. My problem is the way errata are published. For the Brits they are fine. For Americans it is better to go to the French language errata and use google translator. |

I thought Saga was fairly interesting…to a point. Creating your force and matching the various die symbols created a unique combat system. However, tactics seemed to be a fairly low priority and instead players started hunting for die combos to do the most damage, making it a pretty strange skirmish game. On top of that, players who knew their faction had massive advantages over new players (this could be said for many games), but with Saga it seemed even more so. It became one of those games where 60 seconds after game night ended you couldn't name the factions that you had just fought with as everything became subserviant to the dice combos. |

I'm an Atari man myself, but the old ads sure made it sound exciting… what? Oh— "SAga"— my bad.
