I am currently reading a book called "Finland's War of Choice" about the Continuation War. I am still early in the book (and away from home so don't have access to my library) it keeps mentioning the 9th SS infantry regiment in the far north with Germany's mountain troops. I am familiar with 6th SS "Nord" being up there, but know nothing about the 9th and my "Google-Fu" isn't helping. I rather doubt this is the same unit that became the 9th SS Panzer Division (but could be wrong here). ANybody know anything more about these guys? |

From a Google search that pointed to this thread on the Axis History Forum: link Which led to this Wiki article: link Don't know if this helpsm but it shows the 9th SS Regiment became a part of the 6th SS Mountain Division. Jim |
