The Battle of Antietam ( Sharpsburg) 17th September 1862 Timeline 12.45 PM The Union Third Division from Burnside's Ninth Corps, Brigadier General Issac P Rodman commanding, is crossing the Snavelly ford against light Confederate opposition. url=https://postimg.cc/kR5BxC8Z]

This crossing means that the Confederate position at the Rhorbach has become untenable. Forwards……To victory! |
