When I was working on Vikings, I was able to compare size of Gripping Beast figures to either Crusader or Artizan. One was noticeably smaller than my Gripping Beast figures. Now, I'm working on Celts, and would like to add some Crusader figures to my army (Gripping Beast, Renegade). Are they the same size as GB? Grelber |

I was just watching a podcast with two of my favorite players, retired. Julian Edelman called himself a "leprechaun". He was not that big. Rob Gronkowski as rather large. Both played on the NE offense. That's always been my approach regarding different size miniatures. 🤷 YMMV |

I don't have any of their Celts, but Crusader generally mixes well with Gripping Beast. |

Humans vary in size but also in build. With different ranges the build stays the same but the size varies. More important certain known constants such a size of some object they might hold should remain constant amongst different models. |

The Romans complained about their Celtic enemies being taller than they were. So, I'm trying to keep my Celtic figures on the taller side. Grelber |

People might vary in size but it is also about the style of sculpting too. The differences between different lines often don't look that great in combined units. Generally speaking GB and Crusader mash up well but it really depends on the sculptor. The Celts are by Colin Patten and they tend to be right in line with Mark Sims designs. I actually picked up some Later Thracian command to mix with the GB late Thracian rhomphaia infantry as GP has no command for these figures. I can't speak directly about the Celts but if it was me I'd take the risk. |
