A 'what if' with the English fleet prevented from sailing by a contrary wind, the Armada has landed troops to take Portsmouth from the rear. An English force has taken up a blocking position to stop them.

Nicely done. I did this game about 30 years ago using DBR Great fun. Nice to see it repeated

WHAT IF THE SPANISH ARMADA LANDED IN ENGLAND IN 1588

This was the premis of a game played over two weeks in September, 1998. Game was done with DBR, in Normal Scale with 15mm figures on a full 12 by 6 foot table. Each army had 200ap. The invaders consisted of Spanish (Steve M), French Catholics (Dave C), Venetian Colonial (Jay L./Stef), Irish (Charlie/Lou), Scots (George&Gabe). The defenders had two English armies (Jeff and Bob/Kim), two French Hugeunots (Steve R and Dave R), and a Dutch (Justin). The Venetian Colonial was there because Jay had just finished painting the figures and wanted to use them in a game.
